Whether you’re managing persistent muscle tension, training for a sport, or feeling the physical demands of everyday life, your massage should reflect what your body needs.
At Cincinnati Muscle Therapy, every session is tailored to you. Your areas of discomfort, activity level, preferences, and goals guide the treatment—not a fixed routine.
Deep tissue massage uses focused pressure and slower techniques to address areas of muscle tension. Treatment may concentrate on your neck and shoulders, back, hips, legs, or several connected areas.
Deep tissue does not mean maximum pressure throughout your appointment. Pressure is adjusted to your comfort and how your body responds. You should be able to communicate, breathe comfortably, and let your therapist know when an adjustment is needed.
You don’t have to be a professional athlete to benefit from a session focused on the demands of your sport or activity. Sports massage can be tailored to runners, weightlifters, recreational athletes, and high school, college, and professional competitors.
Your session considers more than where you feel tight. We’ll discuss your training schedule, repetitive movements, recent changes in activity, and any areas that interfere with comfortable movement.
Depending on your needs, your appointment may focus on:
The timing of your appointment matters, too. A session close to competition may call for a different approach than one scheduled during a recovery week. Share your upcoming events and training plans so your treatment can be adjusted accordingly.
You don’t need to know which technique to book. Your session may combine deep tissue, sports massage, and myoskeletal alignment techniques based on your concerns and your therapist’s assessment.
Some appointments may focus on one specific area. Others may address several regions contributing to your discomfort. We’ll decide on priorities together, taking your booked time into account.
Massage appointments are priced by session length, rather than by whether you need deep tissue or sports massage.
Choose the amount of time you would like to book, and your treatment will be tailored within that appointment. There is no separate deep tissue or sports massage upgrade.
A 60-minute session may suit focused work on your main concerns. A 90-minute session allows more time for multiple areas or a broader session while still giving extra attention where needed.
You can request focused treatment or a more comprehensive massage. Every appointment is an opportunity to reassess what you need that day.
Crystal McCray, LMT, brings more than eight years of massage experience and certification in Myoskeletal Alignment to her work with athletes, active adults, and clients experiencing ongoing muscle discomfort.
Your care begins with listening—understanding what you’re feeling, how you use your body, and what you want to do more comfortably.
